The best part of taking the role of leader is dealing with people. The funny thing is that dealing with people is also the worst part of being a leader.
There are many advantages to possessing a leadership role, however those advantages come with the responsibility of tracking employee performance and addressing problems.
Positive Discipline is an updated version of Discipline without Punishment. This new program focuses on an effective five step model, which was outlined in Paul Sims and Eric Harvey’s book Positive Discipline: How to Resolve Tough Performance Problems Quickly... and Permanently.
The 24 minute run time is accompanied by a workshop which lets participates put the five steps into practice. The audience learns how to deal with performance issues with confidence to reach a better outcome.
The five steps include:
- Identifying problems
- Analyzing problem severity
- Discussing problems
- Documenting discussions
- Following up and monitoring results
