When healthcare revolves around the individual, high level of patient satisfaction and quality health care can be guaranteed. One of the ways, a patient center approach is followed is by increasing the cultural competency among your staff. When healthcare providers respect their patients as individuals, they become sensitive and more diligent towards the religious and cultural beliefs of their patients. Cultural competency has become mandatory in hospitals and is big step forward in improving the quality of healthcare delivery across populations and reducing unnecessary costs.
This training program addresses the everyday challenges of providing quality care for all individuals irrespective of their backgrounds and train healthcare professionals to become sensitive to cultural differences. They will be able to develop patient assessment tools to help them to overcome stereotypes and develop a working relationship with patients and/or family members regarding illnesses and treatment plans. It also trains healthcare professionals by using everyday healthcare scenarios spanning wide range of cultural and religious backgrounds. This video is designed to enhance understanding and facilitate implementation of these regulations in their work place.
