Creating a restraint free environment in your facility will ensure a high quality of life for all your residents, while protecting the person’s individual rights, dignity, autonomy, self esteem and physical health. Your staff has to be well educated about the current guidelines for using restraints and seclusion and more importantly, knowing how to diffuse situations by using alternative methods. This course will educate you and your staff about using alternate methods and techniques instead of restraints and seclusions to protect person's rights and overall well being.
