Joel Barker

Joel Baker is a noted futurist who popularized the business term "paradigm shift" in his work with the now famous training video, The Business of Paradigms.  He continued his work with 10 additional training films including the iconic Power of Vision. 

Joel began his work on paradigms in 1975 and published the book "Future Edge" in 1992.  It was listed as one of the most influential business books of the year by the well-regarded Library Journal.

In 1986, he released the Discovering the Future Series in which the Business of Paradigms was the key video.  Within in 2 years the series was considered the best selling series in history and the Business of Paradigms the best selling video in history.  Joel continued his work with The Power of Vision in 1990, then followed up with Tactics of Innovation; Wealth, Innovation and Diversity; The Paradigm Mastery Series; Leadershift; The New Business of Paradigms; and most recently Innovation at the Verge.

Joel Barker Videos have been translated into 16 languages and seen by 250 million people worldwide.  Their influence on business and innovation cannot be overstated.  His work has mainly focused around paradigm shifts and how businesses need to be constantly aware of how their industry is changing so that they can recognize changes and not be left behind when business paradigms change.  He believes the future is something that you form and not something that simply happens to you.
