How Can You Stop Sexual Harassment
Monday, March 07 2011

sexual harassment videoSexual Harassment comes in two forms. Quid Pro Quo Harassment involves a supervisor asking a subordinate for sexual favors in exchange for work benefits or a supervisor threatening the loss of work benefits. Work benefits could be a promotion, better job duties, time off, longer breaks, better pay or any work related gain. Hostile work environment involves any gender based unwelcome conduct. Hostile Work Environment Harassment could be perpetrated by a co-worker or manager. An example of this type of harassment would be unwelcome dirty jokes or pictures posted by email or sexually inappropriate talk. 5 Reasons You Should Write Goals Every Day
Sunday, March 06 2011

Motivational VideoMost people think of goals as lofty expectations of the future. Something that you write down while you are dreaming about your potential and what your life will be like someday, but goals don't have to be about a final result. Goals can be used on a daily basis to make every day more productive and efficient.

Focus

Goals focus you. We all know how easy it is to sit down at work, look at your messy desk and huge to-do list and then surf the internet to avoid work. These simple ideas have been used by companies and individual alike to get their product or innovation accepted.  The great futurist Joel Barker outlines these ideas in all of his work including The New Business of Paradigms.

Starting From Scratch - As Paradigms Shift Companies Sometimes Start at Zero
Friday, March 04 2011

Business of ParadigmsWhen a paradigm shifts and an old paradigm is replaced by a brand new one the race starts over. Many times an industry leader finds themselves at a distinct disadvantage to a smaller, newer company. The industry leader has invested years of time and money in the old paradigm and every structure and process in the company is built around it. When the shift happens they need to change everything. A new company, on the other hand, has no investment in the old paradigm. All of their processes can be molded around the new paradigm. They can change and mold the company for the new changed landscape. Joel Barker's New Business of Paradigms details how these shift affect companies.

Staying a Great Manager While Becoming a Great Leader
Saturday, February 26 2011

leadership training videoGreat business leaders know that there is a lot more to becoming a leader than simply being assigned to the role of manager. A manager is primarily an administrator. The job of a manager is to run a section, group or division of an organization and the role is an important one. The skills associated with this administration take years to develop and the position is earned. However, it does not automatically make you a leader. A leader earns his title by getting others to follow his vision. Both roles are extremely important within an organization and the employee who excels in both becomes an organization's most valuable asset.  Leadership training in this area is crucial to overall organizational success.
